SCEE president David Reeves has revealed that the 60GB PS3 price cut in North America was not a long term strategic move, instead it was a way of moving all the old 60GB stock to make way for the new SKU that Sony want to push. Reeves was asked whether European's should also have the luxury of paying less for the PS3 and then Reeves remarked that as from August 1st all North America will have is a $599 PS3 with one game (80GB bundle).
