Speaking to investors, Microsoft's Robbie Bach has implied that the Xbox 360 Elite has a new hardware design that is not susceptible to the 'Red Ring of Death' hardware fault. Bach commented that the team had to create a 'new design', whether he directly means the Xbox 360 Elite or a general hardware revision across the Xbox 360 SKUs is unknown.
