IGN's gear editor and a Nintendo associate editor seem to be super excited by a new Wiimote accessory toy known as the Hero Pack. The respective accessory allows Wii owners to play as if they have a master sword and Hylian shield in hand. The Wiimote sits in the Master Sword's handle which comes with a foam blade and the Nunchuk fits onto the handle of the shield. Seems like a lot of hype for just a simple toy, but each to their own...

Though somewhat miniaturized, Camy's Hero Pack emulates the iconic design of Link's weapons as closely as legally possible for a rather cool overall effect. The Wiimote seats firmly in the Master Sword's handle. A forward cutout, coupled with the fact that the sword's foam blade is mounted below center, allows for full IR functionality for aiming the Boomerang and Hook Shot in game. The actual blade is stiff foam that isn't floppy or annoying, yet is soft enough to ensure no one will lose an eye. The Nunchuck fits in the handle on the backside of the shield, and like the Wiimote, has none of its functionality cramped by the add-on.
