Sony has today sent out an e-mail to customers that it will refund all those who puchased MediEvil from the Playstation store following quality issues to do with the game. They claim that within the next 7 days, the full price paid will be refunded and when that is completed, MediEvil will be removed from the respective download list.
Quote:
Dear PLAYSTATION®Store Customer,
Recently, you purchased MediEvil?, a PS one® classic game, from PLAYSTATION Store. We are currently investigating the reports of quality issues associated with this game and, as a result, we decided to remove MediEvil from PLAYSTATION Store on Friday 27 July 2007.
You will be aware from the description of the product on PLAYSTATION
Store that some variation in functionality from the original PS one version is to be anticipated, however there appear to be more
significant technical issues. As a result, we will refund your purchase
of MediEvil? within the next 7 working days to your PLAYSTATION Store wallet.
Once the refund to your wallet is issued, MediEvil will be removed from
your PLAYSTATION Store Download list.
We hope that this hasn't spoiled your enjoyment of PLAYSTATION®3, and
apologise if it has. For further PlayStation support, please visit
eu.playstation.com.
Thank you.
