Peter Molyneux, the legendary game developer behind the likes of Fable, Theme Park and Black and White has commented that he believes LIVE will have a huge impact on video games in the long term in comparison to something such as the Wii remote. The comments come as he was asked for his thoughts on the technology of the new generation in which he referred to Microsoft as an 'incredibly smart company'.

There have been some interesting changes in the consoles and peripherals market, like motion sensing. What do you think about the technology of this new generation? Are your ambitious concepts limited by the current technology?

All I can say is that Microsoft is an incredibly smart company and I never fail to be impressed by just how clever they are. Don’t forget this is the company which pioneered LIVE which I believe will ultimately be far more impactful on video games in the long term than something like the Wii controller.
