THE NPD group has unleashed its U.S. video game market software sales for June which indicates that game sales climbed by as much as 22% to $543 million and Mario Party 8 (462.2K sold) leading the all format sales. Total industry sales were up a remarkable 31 percent to $1.1 billion for the month of June and hardware sales were up 34 percent to $399 million with the DS leading the way with 562,000 handheld units sold. Console sales were as follows - Wii (381K), Xbox 360 (198.4K), PS3 (98.5K) and the PSP sold 230.1K. Nintendo dominated the software charts with six out of the top 10 titles being present on the Wii and the DS.

8. Pokemon Battle Revolution - Wii (Nintendo) - 157,900 units
