Sony has confirmed that the PSP version of God of War has been delayed until 2008, this comes as something of a bitter blow as the title was expected by many to help shape the PSP's holiday season line up for the remainder of 2007.

And although we've suffered them before, this time it isn't simply a European delay, either. A quick check of some of the major US online retailers has revealed a similar situation facing PSP owners on the other side of the Atlantic, with release dates now ranging from January to as late as April, with the latter seemingly the more accurate estimation.
