Grant Collier, Infinity Ward studio head and president has revealed the huge hopes the company has for COD 4. Collier noted that the team loves competition, and right now as Halo 3 is the leader on Xbox 360, but they are going to try and take it on with Call of Duty 4. Collier smugly remarked that on the PS3 they are already number one and on the PC Crysis is the one to beat after appearing out of nowhere. But it's all good and friendly rivalry Collier says in a reassuring manner, and ultimately the competition is doing gamers a great service as new heights are being reached.

Quote:
“Some people say ‘Oh gosh, there’s this big competition out there and so we should move our ship date because we’re feeling uncomfortable’. We love competition. I think for the 360 it’s pretty much Halo 3 that’s the competition so we’re going after who we think are at the top of the game right now and we want to take those guys on. On PC I guess I’m hearing a lot about Crysis right now. Those guys kind of came right out from nowhere. There’s lots of buzz around that game. On PS3 we’re number one.

“We’re friends with a lot of these guys and it’s a friendly rivalry for the most part,” he added. “We’re pushing each other to reach new heights.”
