Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has revealed that there is strong belief in the Nintendo camp that the Wii could eventually top the amount of the sales that the record-holding PS2 has achieved. Iwata also played down any possible effects that the PSP slim would have on its market by commenting that there is little overlap between Sony and Nintendo customers.
"Sony's PS2 sales of 100 million units is an extraordinary number that our home game console business has not achieved," Iwata said.News Source: Washingtonpost.com
"But if we can make our bid to expand the gaming population a continued success, we could exceed that," he told Reuters.
