Some lucky folk who have managed to get their hands on the new PSP Slim noticed that it comes with a v3.60 firmware installed, and all of the features on v3.60 will NOT work with the old PSP. They found the following new features; UMD cache - to increase the loading speed of games, USB charge - charge the PSP battery via USB and Connected Display Settings which features all the options to output video from your PSP.

We got our hands on a fully functional redesigned PSP, and we immediately grabbed pictures of the firmware that was installed on the system. Currently unreleased, version 3.60 was installed on the system. All of the features that are available in 3.60 will not work on the old PSP system, and it's unclear whether or not an older PSP system will even display the features found in this update.
